Hence often a post-treatment of the surface is nec- essary to reestablish the original character. End brushes with carbon fibres are used in special machines for cleaning weld seams. The typical electrochemical jobs are the fol- lowing: Cleaning To remove tepering colour and scales on stainless steel surfaces, e.g. on weld seams. Polishing For polishing stainless steel surfaces. Resi- dues can be removed with end brushes. Marking With special patterns surfaces can be marked permanently by the electrochemical process. Electroplating / Surfacing Due to the use of the end brushes, different coatings can be put on the surfaces or they can be refined. End brushes for standard machines For many customary available machines for weld seam treatment LESSMANN offers the suitable end brushes. Depending on the customers‘ demands the end brushes are available with different ad- apters, e.g. interior / exterior threads. Time-saving and effective Unlike other processes, working with special machines for weld seam cleaning are envi- ronmentally friendly and by using it correctly no toxic vapours are generated. Due to the high flexibility of the filament also areas which are hard to reach can be treated easily. By using LESSMANN brushes within a short time a clean result is achieved. Weld seams are treated without any residues and surfaces are treated without being damaged.
